Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) traditionally kicks-off summer with a water conservation ad campaign aimed at area residents, encouraging smart use of landscape watering during Texas’s long, dry summer months.  This year, they wanted to frame the campaign around a process-oriented television show, similar to something you’d watch on HGTV.

Thanks to the work resume of AMS’s Original Programming division, we are no stranger to process-oriented programming, which are transformational shows that film a makeover from start to finish. Because of our success in this area, it was an easy call to allow AMS to guide the “Water is Awesome” campaign in 2023 for the Tarrant Regional Water District. AMS approached this shoot like a TV show. Entitled “Texas Yard Makeover”, we shot at a real residence, with a host & homeowners. We illustrated the challenges, showed real-time progress and topped it off with a stunning reveal.  Each video was accompanied by a Spanish-language version.

Media buy numbers were impressive based on previous years due to “the 2023 campaign and creative really knocking it out of the park.”  Meta video ads resulted in an additional 800k views over the previous year, and across all platforms, the ads saw a View-Through Rate (VTR) exceeding the 50% benchmark by an additional 10%.
